01 Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute an agreement between you (“User”) and Xuanyin (“we”) governing your use of xuanyin.org and all its subdomains and associated pages (collectively the “Platform”).

By accessing the Platform, you confirm that: you are at least 16 years old; you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; and you have read and understood these Terms.

02 Platform Description

Xuanyin is a content platform dedicated to integrating Daoist philosophy with modern practice. The platform provides articles, tools, templates, course introductions, and community resources for users' learning and practical reference.

• Content nature

  Educational and inspirational. All content is for reference only and does not constitute professional advice.

• Target users

  Adult users interested in Daoist philosophy, especially thinkers seeking to apply traditional wisdom in modern life.

• Service language

  Chinese (primary) and English (secondary). The platform provides bilingual content through a language toggle.

03 Intellectual Property

All original content on the Platform, including but not limited to articles, frameworks, tools, templates, designs, images, brand marks, and code, is owned by Xuanyin and protected by copyright law and related intellectual property laws.

• Personal study

  Permitted. You may read, download, and use content for personal non-commercial study purposes.

• Citation & sharing

  Permitted, provided you credit “Xuanyin xuanyin.org” and do not misrepresent the original meaning.

• Commercial use

  Requires prior written authorization. Please contact hello@xuanyin.org.

• Classic text citations

  Historical texts such as the Tao Te Ching are in the public domain, but Xuanyin holds copyright over its original translations and interpretations.

04 Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Platform. Permitted uses include:

• Reading articles, insights, and learning resources published on the Platform
• Using tools and templates provided by the Platform for personal growth and practice
• Subscribing to the Hidden Newsletter
• Communicating with us through the contact form
• Sharing links or brief quotations of Platform content for non-commercial purposes with attribution

05 Prohibited Conduct

When using this Platform, you must not:

• Reproduce, republish, sell, or commercially exploit Platform content without authorization
• Impersonate Xuanyin or use the Xuanyin brand in ways that may mislead others
• Access the Platform in any manner that may damage its operation or other users' experience
• Use Platform content for any purpose that violates applicable laws and regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or mass-download Platform content in an automated manner

09 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by applicable international internet content laws. Any disputes arising from the use of this Platform shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation.

For EU users, you may seek dispute resolution in your Member State or contact your relevant data protection authority. Xuanyin respects and complies with the rights EU users have under their local laws.

10 Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Platform at our discretion, including for: violation of these Terms; engaging in conduct that may harm Xuanyin, its users, or third parties; or any situation we deem appropriate.

Provisions of these Terms regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution shall survive termination.
