背景 Why the Workplace Needs Daoist Wisdom
The modern workplace is a highly complex system: uncertain decisions, multi-party conflicts of interest, information asymmetry, time pressure. In this environment, most people's coping strategy is 'try harder' — more meetings, more overtime, more aggressive execution.
Daoism offers a different diagnosis: much of the time, the resistance we face is not because we haven't tried hard enough, but because we are pushing in the wrong direction, at the wrong time, using the wrong approach. Recognizing this matters far more than doubling down on effort.

Water's flow is not random — it always moves downward, always toward the lowest point, always finding the path of least resistance. But it does not stop, and it does not abandon its destination. It simply finds the most appropriate way to arrive. This is the essence of going with the current.
Going with the current is not weakness, not drift, not lack of position. It is a precise perception of the current state of the system, and a clear choice made on the basis of that perception: is now the time to overcome, to wait, or to flow around?
The highest good is like water. Water benefits all things and does not compete. It dwells in places people reject. Therefore it is close to the Dao.
